In a tragic incident in Bihar's Begusarai, a woman allegedly killed her husband after a heated argument over her Instagram reels. The deceased, identified as Maheshwar Kumar Ray, had recently returned to his village from Kolkata, where he worked as a laborer. The dispute arose when Maheshwar opposed his wife, Rani Kumari, making videos for Instagram reels.
The confrontation escalated, leading the woman and her in-laws to strangle Maheshwar to death in their Fafaut village residence. The incident came to light when Maheshwar's brother, calling from Kolkata, received an unexpected response, prompting family members to discover the grim scene later that night.
Maheshwar's marriage to Rani Kumari, a resident of Fafaut village, had endured for around 6 to 7 years. The altercation over Instagram reels occurred during Maheshwar's visit to his in-laws' house, resulting in the tragic outcome. The police, notified about the incident, took custody of Maheshwar's body and initiated a post-mortem examination.
Rani Kumari, accused of the murder by the deceased's relatives, was arrested following a formal complaint. Reports indicate that Maheshwar was about to return to Kolkata, and the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
